application: used alone, this lacquer will have a textured finish when dry. we recommend topping it off with our MATTE MADE IN HELL or SPEED DEMON TOP COAT for a silky smooth, long-lasting finish.


storage: think of mooncat nail lacquers like vampires: they feel most at home in cool, dark places. store them accordingly to keep them looking and applying their best. lacquer exposed to too much heat or sunlight may change in color or consistency over time...and just have generally bad vibes.

The polish that lured me to mooncat

I will forever love this lacquer. I’ve worn it during the holidays & summer time & every other time, I just can’t get enough of this one.

One of my prized polishes!

The teal is perfect. The reflective glitter is really bright in the sun and makes it twinkle. And it was easy to work with.

Best of 4 brands magnetic formulas I've used, and made me not hate reflectives

I'd previously sworn off reflectives due to texture issues (they make polish thirsty, I can't have my polish too thick) so I was worried about this polish but drawn in by its name and beauty, and people swearing by it. It's among the more opaque mags I've used, two coats is perfect. But it still has depth, the crelly base is the most ideal non-transparency. I don't know how it has such dimension without VNL when VNL has been the bane of my lacquerista existence. It is sooo glassy and even going on, does dry to a bit of texture ofc. I noticed more dispersal than I usually do, but that's not a far comparison because I normally only do 30# velvet manis. I have other strong mags but didn't like their effect on polishes til this one. Upon application & with a couple diff mags below the nail and above, I got an effect like the varying depths of the ocean from birdseye. I was gobsmacked. The shimmer dispersed quickly and doesn't look like anything in particular now, gemstone-ish maybe. I've only done one mani so I'll try it with velvet, and also see if I can get a tighter initial lines to account for dispersal. I checked and flash reactive is great, not that we see that effect unless going out of our way to do so. Y'all, I haven't been this taken by a polish in a long time. Immediate love. Maybe top two favorite polishes. It's early, I'll see how the bottle wears, like if it gets gobby quickly and can't be rescued or something, but strongly considering my first backup purchase after just one mani. (My other fav polish is a thermal so I can't really backup). BUY her, don't let them discontinue.

Updating my three star review.

Okay, so I originally gave this three stars. Loved the color, hated how it applied. It turns out I had a bad bottle, so I was sent a new one, and wowee!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. While the magnetic effect isn't insane, it's still beautiful, and this color is phenomenal.
